My Mother’s Perfect AI Lied And Left Me For Dead Chapter 31
“I am Morgan’s father.”
A murmur rippled through the room.
The lawyer immediately said, “Mr. Maddox, we respect your loss. As you yourself wrote, it was the adults who chose not to listen—”
“You don’t have the right to explain that sentence for me.”
Westley put the full page of his post on the screen.
“Ava gave the wrong answers. Claire treated those wrong answers as authority. I knew my child was in the trunk, and because of those numbers, I still did not open the door.”
He looked toward the principal in the front row.
“Technology and people carried out that harm together. Acknowledging human responsibility does not absolve the technology.”
The company representative cut in.
“Our system does not control vehicles, and it has no independent emotional module.”
“Morgan did not die because the vehicle was locked. She was already dead on the platform.”
Westley’s hand was shaking, but his voice didn’t stop.
“The system said she was healthy, so her mother forced her to jump. The system said she was pretending to be dead, so the staff member hesitated. The system said the smell came from human waste, and a crowd blamed her first. Only one neighbor insisted on calling 911.”
