Westley You Are Late Chapter 02

Westley You Are Late Chapter 02

It was one of Westley’s friends.

The background was loud, and his tone was more of a command than a request.

“Westley’s in a bit of trouble at the precinct. None of us are in town. Go handle it.”

He hung up before I could say a word.

I slipped the report into my bag, called an Uber, and went.

When I got to the station, Sofia was cupping Westley’s face in her hands, dabbing at a cut on his cheek, her eyes red and puffy.

Westley was looking at her, a faint smile playing on his lips.

“If you keep crying, I’m going to think you actually like me.”

Sofia smacked his arm lightly. “In your dreams.”

The playful tap looked more like a caress.

Westley sucked in a sharp breath and clutched his chest, feigning injury.

He opened his mouth to say something, then he saw me.

His expression froze. He instinctively shifted, shielding Sofia behind him.

“Why it is you?”

I ignored him and walked straight to the officer at the desk.

The officer looked me up and down.

“And you are?”

“I’m his girlfriend.”

A small smile touched the officer’s lips.

“Your boyfriend really goes to bat for his friends.”

That’s when I learned Westley had gotten into a fight with Sofia’s newly minted ex to defend her honor.
