He Accused Me Of Stealing But I Heard The Truth Chapter 50
Derek arrived twenty minutes early for the family open house.
True to his word, he sat alone in the last row of the classroom.
The teacher had the children present their drawings of “My Home.”
In Maisie’s picture, there was a yellow house. I stood in the doorway. She stood by the window. Maria was there, holding a loaf of bread, and one of the hospital nurses was wearing her blue scrubs.

“Because he used to decide things for other people. Now he’s practicing asking first.”
A few parents chuckled softly.

[Sit still. Listen to her finish.]
“Can he come a little closer?” the teacher asked.
Maisie tilted her head, thinking it over.
“Today he can.”
Derek’s eyes reddened instantly.
