He Was Reborn To Claim Me But I’m Already Married Chapter 11

When the gate guard at the Bennett house informed me that Adrian was outside, I told them to send him away.

I had just turned around when I saw him vaulting over the courtyard wall.

Adrian smiled as if he had every right to be there.

“It’s not like we haven’t climbed over walls together before.”

Then, mid-smile, his expression soured.

“Claire, you came back, too.”

I knew there was no avoiding it, so I simply admitted it.

And what did it matter if he knew?

In this life, he and I were finished.

Adrian stepped closer.

“But why did you get married? Why didn’t you wait for me?”

Wait? For what?

Wasn’t he the one who told me to stay away from him?

He kept advancing. Behind me was a cold, hard landscaping stone. I had nowhere else to retreat.

“Claire, why didn’t you wait? Once I save Evelyn, we can go back to how things were. Wouldn’t that be good?”

Like before?

I thought about it.

No. I truly didn’t want that.

And there was something else. I looked at him coldly.

“Why does Evelyn need you to save her?”

His expression immediately eased, and he rushed to agree.

“Yes, right, I’ve thought it through. Saving Evelyn doesn’t mean I have to marry her. For old times’ sake, I’ll find her a respectable husband instead.”
