His Jealousy Sent Me Straight To The Ivy League Chapter 11

After I finished reading, I locked my phone.

Mallory leaned closer.

“So he knows?”

“He knows.”

“What was his reaction?”

“He didn’t say much.”

“So what are you going to do? Are you going to tell the counselor about the application being changed?”

I shook my head.

“Why not?”

“Because the most important thing right now is to confirm everything with Princeton.”

Mallory looked like she wanted to argue.

I met her gaze.

“And I want to see what Conrad does next.”

Mallory stared at me.

“Are you out of your mind? He already went this far, and you want to see what he does *next*?”

The doorbell rang.

We both turned toward the door.

Conrad’s voice came through from the other side.

“Inez, open up. I need to talk to you.”

Mallory mouthed at me: *Are you going to open it?*

I walked over and opened the door.

Conrad stood outside.

He had changed clothes, and his hair was damp and messy, like he had just splashed water on his face.

His gaze paused on Mallory for a second, then returned to me.

“Inez, I need to talk to you. Alone.”

Mallory stepped up beside me.

“What is there to say that I can’t hear?”

Conrad offered her a thin smile.

“Mallory, this is between me and Inez.”

“What, exactly, between you and Inez am I not allowed to know about?”

Conrad didn’t answer her.

He looked back at me, his voice low.

“Inez. Five minutes.”

I stepped aside and let him in.

Mallory bit her lip, but in the end, she picked up her bag and left.

As she passed me, she leaned in and whispered one word in my ear.

“Record.”

After the door closed, it was just the two of us in the living room.

He sat on the couch, hands clasped over his knees, and was silent for a long time.

At last, he looked up at me.

“Inez, your applications… you didn’t change them yourself, did you?”
