I Lost Our Child Chapter 24

By the time I woke up the next morning, the narrative had completely flipped.

The video the studio had cobbled together was just over two minutes long.

The full footage released by my company ran forty minutes.

One glance was enough to see who had taken things out of context.

Online sleuths dug up all the surrounding information about Ava’s interview.

She had accepted the invitation voluntarily, and her team had designated me as the interviewer.

This so-called malicious questioning had been orchestrated by her own side from the very beginning.

In the early hours of the morning, Ava’s manager released a statement.

She admitted the interview questions had been confirmed by the artist’s team and that the decision to release the edited video had been unprofessional.

Just a few short lines, and she had nearly dodged all responsibility.

That morning, Ava’s mother gave another interview.

Her eyes were red as she faced the camera.

“Ava is just too emotional.”

“Everyone around her shares responsibility for how she ended up like this.”

The reporter asked who she meant.

She named me directly.

“Miss Alessa knew Ava wasn’t well, yet she still deliberately asked her about those things.”

“She never liked Ava in the first place.”

This time, before I even said anything, my company released the timestamped email showing when the interview outline had been received and the page confirming it.

The timestamp was a full day before the interview.

They also publicly released the part of Ava’s studio’s reply where they had specifically requested me by name.
