I Died In His Arms Now I’ll Marry Another Chapter 08

Emilia’s wedding day arrived soon enough.

I heard Adrian stayed by his sister’s side the entire time. The Royal Guard and security teams from both Packs had the venue locked down tight.

Someone joked on the Pack channels that the Hawthornes looked like they were guarding against a terrorist attack, when all they really feared was me showing up to steal the groom.

I was sitting on the terrace brewing tea. When I heard that, I couldn’t help but laugh.

“If I really had that kind of power, King Roland should send me to guard the border.”

My assistant laughed, too.

Then, an idea struck me.

“Find me a set of brightly colored sportswear.”

The charity soccer match was coming up. I should start preparing.

In the end, I chose a red uniform.

My assistant said, “You’ll stand out in red, miss. You’ll definitely outshine Emilia.”

I looked at the unfamiliar, vividly alive woman in the mirror.

“I’m not wearing it for Emilia.”

I had always loved red.

But in my last life, before I was married, I wore only soft, pale colors to suit Dominic’s tastes.

After marrying Adrian, I learned he preferred people who were steady and restrained, so I replaced my wardrobe with black, white, and gray.

Aside from my wedding dress, this was the first time I had ever worn bright scarlet without a second thought.
