They Canceled My Ticket I Canceled Them Chapter 27
Madison’s livestream reached Daniel and Tyler.
Two days later, all four of them met at the apartment, which was now on the market.
When the real estate agent arrived, they were in the middle of a heated argument.
Daniel’s old phone lay on the table, open to the four-person group chat that had never included me.
Not a single message from three years ago had been deleted.
Tyler pointed at the screen.
“Going to Seattle was Madison’s idea. Daniel changed the ticket. So why are the lenders coming after *my* house?”
Daniel shoved his hand away.
“You agreed to it! You were the one who said Ellie should keep guessing.”
“Marcus was the one who said she’d never have the guts to leave!”
“That’s enough.”
Marcus stood by the dining table, his face ashen.
“What’s the point of saying any of this now?”
Madison looked at him, her expression cold.
“There’s a point. You’ve been telling everyone I’m the reason you and Elena broke up.”
She picked up Daniel’s phone and scrolled back to the night before the Seattle trip.
Marcus’s thumbs-up emoji was still there.
So was the message right below it, reminding everyone not to tell me the destination.
“Every word you said is right here.”
Madison shoved the phone at him.
