“Tell Gianna this.”
“A gift, once given, doesn’t get taken back.”
“Of course, if she’s dead set on having it, she can come ask me herself.”
Adrian turned to leave.
Mia called after him, urgent.
“Mr. Valentino, wait a moment. I’ll have Gianna speak to you right now.”
No way in hell.
Gianna was about to get married.
A brooch with that kind of significance could not stay with another man.
Gianna had reminded her over and over.
She had to bring the brooch when she came to the wedding.
So Gianna could pin it on her husband’s chest that day.
Mia had been sick of Adrian for years.
But Gianna was stubborn. A fool.
