His Lesson Killed My Mother Now He Will Pay Chapter 23

Sloane snapped her head toward him.

“If my courses come down, my brand is finished!”

Graham’s voice was hoarse.

“That’s the price.”

“What are you pretending to be so responsible for now?” she shot back, a bitter laugh escaping her lips.

“You were the one who ordered the van canceled. You were the one who sent me the recording. You were the one who approved the livestream. Now that someone’s dead, you want to push all the blame onto me?”

Graham clenched his fists.

“I never said I wasn’t responsible.”

Sloane snatched up her contract and slammed it on the table.

“You electronically signed every intervention plan. If anyone pays for this, the Vale Foundation goes down with me!”

She turned to leave, but two compliance investigators from the podcast platform stepped into the doorway, blocking her path.

Aisha pushed a packet of documents toward them.

“Sloane Mercer, you are under investigation for systematic violations of user agreements and privacy policies. Please cooperate.”

Sloane stared at me.

“You reported me?”

Aisha replied evenly, “Not just her.”

On the other side of the conference room, seven other people—each of whom had been anonymously but recognizably featured on Sloane’s podcast—rose from their seats, their own attorneys beside them.

Graham looked at me, and I saw the understanding finally dawn in his eyes.

I wasn’t here to wait for his regret.

I was here to get justice for every person she had ever violated.
