His Lesson Killed My Mother Now He Will Pay Chapter 26

When the class-action suit finally went to court, Sloane tried to push all the blame onto the Vale Foundation and Graham.

“I was only a consultant. The cases and recordings were all provided by Graham. The final decisions had nothing to do with me.”

Graham sat at the defense table beside her, silent.

Aisha rose and submitted three pieces of evidence: the full recording of Sloane instructing customer service to ban any rebooking, the revenue-sharing contract she had signed with the foundation, and backend records showing she had personally edited the titles of her case studies.

Sloane’s face went pale, but she still tried to deny it.

“The recording is incomplete. It’s been taken out of context.”

Aisha didn’t argue. She simply motioned for the clerk to play a second recording.

It was from the night of the hurricane. Sloane’s assistant asked quietly, “What if something really happens to Nora Reyes’s mother?”

After a short silence, the faint click of a powder compact opening and closing could be heard.

Then Sloane’s voice, unconcerned as she applied her makeup:

“Even better.”

“Tragedy spreads faster than arguments.”

The courtroom erupted.

Sloane froze in her seat, speechless.

And Graham, who had been silent the entire time, squeezed his eyes shut.
