I Took My Husband’s Mistress To Her Appointment. Then Sent Them Both To Prison Chapter 13

Livia was confined to the Bel Air estate. Officially, she was staying home to protect the pregnancy. In reality, she was under house arrest.

Two new guards were posted at the entrance. Whenever she tried to leave, they lowered their heads and repeated the same line.

“Mr. Sterling says you’re unwell and can’t go out.”

Livia smashed things in fury.

No one responded.

Rhys no longer soothed her the way he once had. He left before dawn and returned late at night, spending every hour on calls, in meetings with attorneys, or trying to contain the scandal. For the first time, Livia understood that she had never mattered as much as she thought.

One afternoon, she suddenly clutched her abdomen and collapsed.

The housekeeper panicked.

“Ms. Kessler!”

Livia’s face was white, sweat covering her forehead.

“It hurts…”

“My stomach hurts…”

The guards didn’t dare gamble with the pregnancy. They rushed her to the hospital.

While they were at the nurses’ station completing paperwork, Livia slipped into the bathroom attached to her exam room. She opened her phone and went live.

The title read, “Sterling Heir Got Me Pregnant—Then Locked Me Up in Bel Air.”

On camera, she was pale and red-eyed, her voice breaking.

“I don’t know who I can trust anymore.”

“I don’t think I can take much more.”

The viewer count climbed by the second.

People recognized her.

“Isn’t that the woman from Rhys & Livia?”

“The mistress is livestreaming?”

“Don’t attack her yet. Let her speak.”

Livia cried harder.

She held up her medical records one by one.

“I had thirty-three abortions for him.”

“Every time, he promised he’d marry me someday.”

“He said he and his wife had no real relationship.”

“He said the divorce would happen soon.”

“He said if I gave him a child, he would finally make me his wife.”

The comments erupted.

“Rhys is a monster.”

“Is she pretending to be innocent? She knew he had a wife in the other video.”

“Thirty-three abortions? That’s horrifying.”

“Men are disgusting.”

Livia lowered her face and wept.

“I admit I was wrong.”

“But I was deceived too.”

“Mrs. Sterling, I’m sorry.”

“I truly believed they were almost divorced.”

“I didn’t know the documents were fake too.”

She repeated “Mrs. Sterling” and “I’m sorry” like lines from a script. She acknowledged my legal status while casting herself as the broken, pitiable second victim—as if Rhys had deceived us both in the same way.

The number of viewers kept rising.

When Rhys reached the hospital, the livestream was still running.

He kicked open the door.

“Livia!”

She immediately backed into the far corner of the bed, her phone camera pointed directly at him.

“Stay away from me!”

“Don’t hit me!”

Rhys stopped short.

He saw the comments racing across the screen, and his face turned livid.

“Turn it off.”

Livia shook her head through her tears.

“Are you threatening me again?”

“You locked me in that house and wouldn’t let me leave.”

“Now you’re trying to silence me?”

“Rhys, I’m carrying your child!”

A vein throbbed at his temple.

“I said turn it off.”

He took one step forward.

Livia screamed.

“Do you see this?”

“This is how he forces me to obey!”

“He doesn’t even care about the baby!”

The guards rushed inside and tried to take the phone.

The livestream exploded.

“Don’t touch her!”

“Call the police!”

“If Rhys acts like this on camera, imagine what he does in private.”

Rhys finally understood that she had trapped him again. He stared at her with murder in his eyes.

“Well played.”

Tears covered Livia’s face, but a slow smile appeared.

“You taught me.”

TikTok soon ended the livestream.

It didn’t matter.

Screen recordings were already everywhere.

That afternoon, my attorney issued a statement.

“Whether Ms. Kessler had prior knowledge of, participated in, or helped conceal the vehicle attack will be determined by the LAPD and the district attorney.”

“Ms. Rowland will not accept guilt tactics based on Ms. Kessler’s pregnancy.”

“Ms. Rowland was pregnant too. Her child mattered too.”

Public opinion shifted again.

People began resurfacing Livia’s statements from older videos.

“She always knew Rhys had a wife.”

“She said she didn’t want her future child ranked behind the legal wife’s child.”

“How is that being deceived? She knowingly participated.”

In the hospital room, Livia watched the comments. Her face grew paler by the second. Rhys stood beside the bed, looking at her coldly.

“Are you satisfied?”

She clenched her teeth.

“I was protecting myself.”

“Protecting yourself?” He sneered. “You used me as a shield and called it self-defense?”

She looked up at him.

“Weren’t you planning to send me to Europe and make sure I never came back?”

His eyes shifted.

Livia laughed, trembling.

“You thought I didn’t know?”

“You planned to wait until the baby was born, give me money, and throw me away.”

“Why did you think I’d obey you?”

A knock sounded at the door.

Two LAPD detectives entered.

“Ms. Kessler, we need to formally question you regarding the vehicle attack, forged documents, and potential obstruction of the investigation. You may speak with us here at the hospital with an attorney present, or, once a doctor clears you to leave, you may come to the station with counsel.”

The blood drained from Livia’s face.

Without thinking, she grabbed Rhys’s sleeve.

“Rhys…”

He didn’t move.

Her attorney arrived shortly afterward. Once the doctor confirmed she was stable and did not need to be admitted, Livia left with the detectives and her attorney. Before walking out, she leaned close to Rhys and whispered so only he could hear.

“If you abandon me…”

“I’ll hand over the one thing you’re most afraid of.”
