Auctioned While Pregnant: 99 Nights Of My Husband’s Betrayal Chapter 01
At the auction, my husband suddenly kissed my forehead and whispered, “The baby in your belly isn’t mine.”
A smirk pulled at the corner of his mouth. Then every spotlight in the room locked onto me.
Julian stepped onto the stage. “One year ago, you outbid Claire for that wedding dress. She walked out of this room in tears,”
“So I paid you back. By having ninety-nine men fuck you.”
My eyes went wide. The next second, the massive screen flickered on.
It was playing a video. The star of the video was—
Me. On our wedding bed. Blindfolded. Nothing on.
I watched. In the video, a man I didn’t know was hovering over me, thrusting inside me.
Then, another man followed.
Man after man crossing the frame. None of them familiar.
In the corner, amidst the moans and gasps, one of them whispered, “Think she noticed?”
“No way. She was blindfolded the whole time. “The man snickered.
“Hell, even if a pig jumped on her, she’d probably think it was her own husband.”
My brain went blank. Laughter in my ears. Hot air on my skin.
Then Julian’s cold voice came, rattling my ribs.
“Since nobody knows who planted the seed, Let’s auction the fatherhood,” he smirked, looking at the hungry crowd.
“The winner also gets her next round. One night, full access. A chance to earn the title for real.”
His gaze crossed the room and landed on me.
It was the look of a man disposing of a broken toy.
“You loved making people cry at auctions, Lena. Tonight you’re the lot. “He smiled. “Ninety-nine of them, one by one. No rush.”
“Let’s see which one of these bastards can fuck you scream.”
Silence held for exactly two seconds. Then the hall erupted.
“Now that’s entertainment! Only Julian could pull this off!”
“Honestly, after last time I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Those tits, that ass. God… I’m going to fuck her tonight no matter what it costs.”
The jeers came after that in a single ugly wave, nearly swallowed me whole.
I stumbled back until my spine hit the wall. The cold bit through.
Every night for a year. Every single night, blindfolded, I had reached for the body beside me and believed it was his.
Ended up… All lies?
I looked at Julian, seeing him clearly for the first time through the wreckage of my life.
He had moved back to the main seat. And the woman next to him. Claire.
The same woman who had fought me for that wedding dress one year ago. His secretary.
She sat beside him now in couture, spine straight, chin poised. As if that chair had always been hers.
As if she were his wife.
The moment our eyes met, she shrank back toward Julian. A small flinch, rehearsed or not.
Julian patted her hand. The ice in his eyes cracked, turned soft and tender.
“Don’t be afraid. I’ll avenge you right now.”
He nodded to the host and said. “Begin.”
Her hand was still in his.
And I stood there, like an outsider.
“Julian.”
My own voice came back to me thin, frayed at the edges.
“What if this baby is yours?”
Dead silence. The question hung for three seconds of nothing—no breath, no shuffle, no cough.
Then the crowd erupted.
A man to my left slammed his palm on the table, wheezing. Another doubled over. The sound bounced off the walls and came back louder.
Julian’s lips twitched.
“Lena, unlike you, my body…” The contempt in his gaze held on me for one breath. Two.
Then it slid to Claire, and everything behind his eyes rearranged.
“I only give that to the person I actually want.”
“Hey… people are watching. What are you doing…” Claire’s face flushed red. She turned into his chest.
A performance of modesty for the room.
Yet Julian pulled her in, his chin resting on her hair. Slow. Tender.
Laughter rippled around me.
“Come on, who does she think she is? Claire touched that spot and she thinks she qualifies?”
“She’s been run through by everyone in this crew. And she still believes Julian gives a damn. That’s comedy.”
They pressed in. The laughter came from everywhere. I had nowhere to go.
The next second, the auctioneer lifted his gavel.
“The parental rights to the child carried by Ms. Lena Vance. Opening bid: three million.”
Bang.
The sound of the gavel came down.
The video was still playing. My face on the screen. Still blindfolded. Still gasping.
I looked at it. Then I wasn’t numb anymore.
I lifted my chin.
“Five million.” I said, my voice came out hoarse. But it carried.
