His Ex-Wife Called Me His Mistress—But I Married A Billionaire Chapter 09
The Talk Show Confrontation
Alec comes home acting like a clingy honeymoon groom, keeping me pinned down for two whole days.
I finally have to shove him off. “Are you a needy puppy or what? Down, boy.”
He just smirks and nuzzles my neck.
While the internet stops calling me a mistress, bitter haters still try to tear my career down.
【No wonder her career was so smooth.】
【Rich wives should just stay home and pop out heirs. Why compete with real actors?】
【I bet Grayson doesn’t even know his wife was flirting with other guys on set.】
【No billionaire tolerates a wife playing around. They’ll be divorced in a week.】
Alec reads the comments over my shoulder, his brow furrowing in anger.
He immediately forwards every single handle to his corporate legal team. “Sue them all.”
Veronica even likes a comment predicting our divorce.
When caught, she doubles down: “If Mrs. Grayson is so happily married, why did she give another woman’s husband false hope for years?”
Alec is furious, but I squeeze his hand.
“I have my own lawyers, babe. I don’t need to hide behind you.”
He pouts like a spoiled kid. “Can’t I at least be useful as your husband?”
I smile. “Fine. You’re coming with me to a televised couple interview.”
The network producer gets bold and asks if we can invite Julian and Veronica to join the live broadcast too.
“Sure,” I say smoothly. “Half the show’s profits go into my pocket anyway.”
To everyone’s shock, both Julian and Veronica accept.
On the day of filming, Alec shows up in a custom charcoal tux, looking less like a talk show guest and more like he’s about to crash a rival’s wedding.
When the host asks about our love story, Alec mentions we’ve been together two years longer than Julian and Veronica ever were.
Julian’s face turns pale. He realizes I was never single when I rejected him.
He looks at me with lingering bitterness. “If he hadn’t shown up, would you have given me a chance?”
Alec’s hand tightens around mine, glaring daggers at Julian.
I look Julian dead in the eye and shake my head.
“Never.”
