His Ex-Wife Called Me His Mistress—But I Married A Billionaire Chapter 10
The Climax
Veronica leaps in, pointing an accusing finger at me with shaking hands.
“If Mrs. Grayson was already with him back then, why didn’t she tell Julian and kill his hope? He thought he wasn’t good enough for her for years! Don’t you think you were intentionally playing with his feelings?”
The live chat erupts.
【Wait, she actually has a point! Why keep it secret?】
【Julian was insecure for a decade because of her rejection!】
【So what? Do women owe every guy who crushes on them a written explanation?!】
【She clearly liked having him pining after her!】
Alec wraps a protective arm around my waist. His cold gaze sweeps over Veronica like ice.
“He wasn’t good enough. And he didn’t deserve her,” Alec states bluntly.
The live comments go wild.
【Lmao! The husband’s jealousy is off the charts!】
【Grayson really came here to flex on his rival!】
【He’s not wrong though—Chloe was an A-lister at eighteen. Julian was a nobody.】
Veronica’s face turns pale, but Julian looks strangely relieved.
Julian takes a deep breath and turns to me. His voice trembles slightly. “I’m sorry, Chloe. My divorce drama dragged you into a mess you never deserved.”
Veronica snaps, her voice cracking. “You dragged her in? She was the one who hid her marriage to play single! If she had come clean from day one, would our marriage have ended like this?!”
She blames every single crack in her ruined home on me.
I look at her calmly. “Why should I expose my private life to the world?”
“I built my career on my own talent. Not on public showmances or fake drama. When I shut down rumors, I never claimed to be single—but I sure as hell didn’t owe anyone a tour of my private home.”
Veronica turns helplessly to Alec, begging for an ally. “Mr. Grayson, doesn’t it bother you at all that your wife was flirting with other men on set?”
Alec rests his chin on his hand, utterly unbothered.
“I trust my wife completely. Supporting her career from behind the scenes is my favorite job.”
Then he pauses, raising an eyebrow at Veronica. “Why? Did you not trust your husband?”
A cold, mock realization crosses his face. “Ah. No wonder you two got divorced.”
