The Empty Church
On the day of the wedding, Julian Sinclair arrives at the ice chapel in Iceland with his groomsmen, only to find it completely empty.
There is no bride.
Frowning, Julian pulls out his phone to text Aria, but suddenly, the giant screen above the altar lights up.
A video begins to play. Inside a grand cathedral in Ireland, Aria, dressed in a stunning white wedding gown, slowly walks down the aisle toward another man.
At the end of the video, a line of blood-red text appears on the screen:
“Julian, I changed the groom. The game is over.”
Julian stares at the screen in disbelief. He goes completely still.
Aria is in Ireland?
She’s marrying someone else?
The moment it finally sinks in, his body sways, and he nearly loses his balance.
“Julian… Aria… what do we do?”
Julian immediately calls Aria.
Once, twice, ten times…
No answer.
With shaking hands, Julian opens his chat history with her.
“Aria, are you crazy? How dare you marry another man?!”
His rage vanishes the second he hits send.
A red exclamation mark appears beside the message.
Blocked.
On the day he expects to marry her.
On the day their ten-year relationship is supposed to end with a wedding.
She blocks him.
