An hour later, I had already changed into a decent set of clothes.
But when it came to Ryan’s proposed revenge, I had no confidence. I didn’t know what to do.
I hesitated, but Ryan didn’t push me.
He only said he would wait for my answer.
He walked me out of the hotel. After saying goodbye, he got into his luxury car.
I stood there, not knowing where to go next.
Was I supposed to return to the place I shared with Gabriel?
But the image of him tangled with Lisette kept replaying in my mind, making my head pound whenever I thought about it.
When I looked up, I saw two familiar figures.
Gabriel and Lisette were stunned.
Lisette’s gaze suddenly shifted to the car that had just driven away, and she shrieked, “Gabe, that was Ryan’s car!
“I knew something was going on. Ryan just left, and she came out of the hotel right after!”
Gabriel’s eyes fell on my clothes. He could clearly tell they didn’t belong to me.
At once, his expression darkened. “Julianna, where did you get those clothes?”
“It’s none of your business.”
I tried to walk past them coldly.
Gabriel blocked me, his eyes filled with rage.
“You smell like another man. Are you no longer a virgin?”
Beside him, Lisette added fuel to the fire. “Gabe, if I were Julie, I wouldn’t admit it either.
“Why don’t we check and see if she’s still a virgin?”
Gabriel actually nodded. “That makes sense.”
“Gabriel, are you crazy?!” I yelled.
He used great force and dragged me into the car.
“Let me go! What right do you have to do that?”
I struggled with all my strength.
Gabriel gritted his teeth. “You were once mine, after all. If you’re tainted, I’ll destroy you myself!”
I was forcibly taken to a private hospital.
“Wait here. Don’t leave until the results are out.”
Gabriel pushed me toward a few nurses, his gaze icy.
“Lise, let’s go get coffee elsewhere.”
Lisette gave me a strange smile and whispered in my ear, “Julie, enjoy my gift to you.”
A strong sense of unease rose in my heart.
When the door to the examination room closed, I realized in horror that the people coming in were not doctors at all.
“Who are you?” I stepped back.
One of the men, with a lewd look in his eyes, laughed. “Ms. Maloney said you have needs, Ms. Winslet. We’re here to give you a thorough check.
“Don’t worry. We’ll be gentle.”
I rushed toward the door like crazy, but someone grabbed my hair and dragged me back.
“Help! Save me, Gabriel!”
My phone fell to the ground during the struggle. I tried desperately to reach it, wanting to message Ryan.
Someone stepped on my phone and crushed it into pieces.
“Please, let me go…”
I begged in despair, my vision blurred by tears.
Rough hands pinned me down. I felt like I was sinking, helpless, into despair.

Third person’s POV
One hour later, Gabriel waited in the hallway, growing impatient.
“Why aren’t they out yet?”
Lisette’s eyes flickered. “Maybe they’re being thorough. Why don’t we go home and wait?”
Gabriel nodded.
Early the next morning, a news report shook the entire city.
“Breaking news! An unidentified female body was found outside a private hospital, suspected of inhumane abuse.”
Gabriel sat in his office and happened to glance at the hospital mentioned in the report.
It was the very place he had taken Julianna the day before.
Thinking about how long the so-called examination had taken, and that she still hadn’t contacted him, Gabriel’s breath hitched.
The coffee cup in his hand fell to the ground, shattering into pieces.
It felt as if a piece of his heart had been ripped out, the pain leaving him unable to breathe.
“Julianna?”
