Sophie posts again before Ethan can explain anything.
This time, she uses my name.

The post spreads fast.
People start calling the hospital.
Ryan is called in to explain what happened.
My company gets messages again too.
Then Ethan finally makes a public statement.
He posts the records showing the condo belongs to him and me, along with proof that I paid for part of it.
He posts the transfers from our joint account.
He shows that Sophie owns her own condo and has been renting it out.
Then he posts the information from her influencer management agency.
Brand proposals.

Finally, Ethan posts the dates from the prenatal checkup report Sophie shared herself.
The comments change almost immediately.
Brands start pulling out.
Sophie calls Ethan.
I later hear what she said to him.
“Even if the baby isn’t Daniel’s, can you honestly say you never had feelings for me?”
Ethan doesn’t answer.
“If you didn’t, why did you leave your own wedding for me?”
Not long after that, Daniel’s mother comes to see me.
She brings documents Daniel prepared before he died.
Divorce papers.
Financial records.
And medical records.
Daniel had already planned to leave Sophie.
He had discovered she was moving money behind his back.
More importantly, his doctors had told him that his chances of fathering a child were extremely low.
He had already started questioning whether Sophie’s baby was his.

Ethan calls me that night.
I look at his name on my screen.
