The Alpha’s Daughter Chapter 02

The Alpha’s Daughter Chapter 02

Ever since I killed Kael, the Script of the World had been nagging me for days.

[What exactly are you trying to do? Do you even know what kind of book this is?]

[This book is about a smart and kind heroine who is constantly misunderstood. The men around her all love her, but because they are deceived by others, they hurt her again and again. In the end, they wake up and regret everything. That regret is the part readers look forward to the most!]

[But you ruined it. You killed one of the main love interests and drove away the second most important female character. How is the story supposed to continue now?]

“What does that have to do with me?”

I walked into the pack house. The newly replaced servants and guards bowed their heads and greeted me.

[If you act like this, the other important male characters will never fall in love with you!]

I sneered. “Is being loved by men like that supposed to be some kind of honor? I haven’t even asked why I entered this book world in the first place. You dragged me in without my consent. That’s kidnapping.”

“You should be grateful I haven’t demanded compensation for emotional damages. Why should I wrong myself to follow your so-called plot?”

The system was speechless, but still forced out a question.

[Are you not afraid that if you fail the mission, you can never go home?]

I did not care. “Life is life, wherever I live it. Right now, I am the Alpha’s daughter. I can enjoy every luxury in the world. That’s better.”

The Script wailed helplessly. [Aaaah, my entire storyline is about to fall apart!]

I scoffed and did not bother with it.

Then a maid stopped me.

“Miss Blackwood, Madam wants to see you.”

She was one of the maids who served the heroine’s birth mother.

Mara was the heroine’s biological mother. She had once been a maid herself. She climbed into the Alpha’s bed while he was drunk and gave birth to the heroine.

Because of her scheme, the Alpha disliked her. The moment the heroine was born, she was taken away and given to Luna Evangeline to raise. Still, because Mara was the heroine’s birth mother, even though the Alpha despised her, he allowed her to remain in the most remote corner of the territory.

After the heroine learned that Mara was her birth mother and was not living well, she often visited her in secret.

But Mara hated the heroine.

She believed the Alpha cared about sons. If the heroine had been a boy, the Alpha would never have treated Mara this way.

So Mara brought Selene to the territory and let Selene bully and suppress the heroine.

The heroine had always known Mara did not love her. But perhaps she was born weak, or perhaps she craved affection too badly, so she endured it all.

Now, however, I was the heroine.

“She is nothing but a forgotten lover. I am the Alpha’s daughter. Why should I go to her myself?”

I did not stop walking.

The maid shouted, “Aurora, how can you say that? She is your birth mother!”

I turned back and looked at her.

The maid’s face was full of defiance. She stared straight at me.

Truthfully, I did not want to kill anyone.

But clearly, this maid had already found her way to death.

I waved my hand.

“Execute her.”

This time, the maids and steward behind me moved quickly. Without a word of nonsense, they rushed forward and pinned the maid down.

The maid cried out, “I serve your mother! You can’t kill me! Madam will never let you get away with this!”

The steward slapped her across the face.

Mara rushed over, furious.

“Aurora, what are you doing? Let Mrs. Harlow go at once!”

“Mrs. Harlow disrespected me. I am dealing with her according to the rules.”

Mrs. Harlow spat out the handkerchief in her mouth. Somehow, she found the strength to crawl over and cling to Mara’s leg, sobbing loudly.

“Mara, save me. Aurora is going to kill me.”

Mara grew even angrier.

“How can you be so cruel? Do you know Mrs. Harlow has served me for more than ten years?”

“I am standing right here today. Let me see who dares touch her!”
