I Married The Don 3 Years While He Kept His Mistress 7 Years Chapter 07

Lorenzo arrived fast.

The man who was always so put-together, so flawless—he was a mess. His tie was crooked. His shirt wasn’t even tucked in properly. He smelled like whiskey and cigarettes.

I frowned. He never drank during the day.

“Aurora!”

He stormed toward me, face dark with fury.

“I used to think you were sweet. Obedient. When I agreed to this marriage, I thought—fine, this works.”

“Three years, and I had you waiting for me at home. I thought that was enough.”

“But I never expected this. All that meek, gentle act—it was just a mask, wasn’t it?”

“I told you Chiara’s resignation takes time. I gave you an out.”

“And you still pulled this stunt today—using Grandma to corner me—”

He ground out the last word through his teeth:

“Disgusting.”

I looked at Lorenzo’s cold, handsome face.

And then it hit me.

What I wanted—one person, for life, just us—Lorenzo could never give me that.

He was arrogant. Proud. He never bowed his head to anyone.

His world revolved around him, and he’d never let anyone or anything slip from his control.

The “love” I’d been chasing—it was wrong from the start.

I glanced at Chiara.

She was still on her knees, face streaked with tears, looking completely broken.

But when she looked at me, I saw it—that gleam of mockery in her eyes. Clear as day.

I lost. I lost because I never knew him the way she did.

I let out a bitter laugh.

Grandma was shaking with anger. I reached over and gently took her hand.

“Grandma. Let me go. Even without Lorenzo, I’ll still take care of you. I promise.”

Grandma watched Lorenzo bend down and pull Chiara to her feet, his arm around her as they walked away together.

Her old, clouded eyes stayed fixed on them for a long time.

She didn’t say a word. Just had the butler wheel her into the study.

Much later, the butler came back and handed me a folder.

I opened it.

Inside was a divorce agreement.

Grandma’s name was already signed. In the witness box.
