I Married The Don 3 Years While He Kept His Mistress 7 Years Chapter 13

When I saw Chiara again, she was a completely different person.

Gone was the put-together personal secretary in her designer suits and heels, always smiling that perfect smile.

Her eyes were sunken and dark. Her lips were cracked. Her hair hung loose and tangled, like a wild woman who’d just been in a street fight.

The second she saw me, she lunged.

The cop held her back, but she still stretched her arms out and screamed:

“You bitch! What gives you the right to make Lorenzo fire me!”

“You deserve everything they’re saying about you! The Donna Greco position was always mine!”

I frowned and stepped back. Watching her flail and snarl like that—she felt like a stranger.

I turned straight to the officer, calm and steady.

“Chiara Lombardi maliciously fabricated events, which led to widespread online harassment and personal attacks against me. I’m requesting—”

“Aurora!”

A hoarse voice cut me off.

Lorenzo stood in the doorway.

His hair was a mess. His suit was wrinkled. A dark stubble had started to shadow his jaw.

He rushed toward me, arms reaching out.

“I finally found you. I thought—”

His voice cracked.

“I thought you’d really left me.”

There were no bodyguards behind him.

A Don, showing up alone at a police station—no security, no lawyer. That alone told you how far he’d fallen.

I sidestepped easily and moved behind the officer.

“Good timing. Sign the divorce papers and we won’t have to see each other again.”

Lorenzo froze. His whole body went stiff.

For the first time, I saw real panic in those gray eyes.

His voice shook. “Let me explain. Just hear me out, please?”

I kept my face cold and didn’t move.

Lorenzo took a deep breath, like he was steeling himself, and dropped his voice low.

“Chiara used the pregnancy to threaten me. She never planned to use protection. The baby—”

“She already got rid of it. She posted those photos and videos just to drive a wedge between us.”

He looked at me. “That baby… it was never going to happen.”

“Aurora. Every single day you’ve been gone, I’ve been looking for you.”

When he finished, I just laughed.

“Lorenzo, if you’d just divorced me and married her like you were supposed to, I might have at least respected you. But now—”

I looked him dead in the eye.

“You just disgust me.”

“Filthy. And disgusting.”
