He Left Me For My Sister Now He Begs For Me Back Chapter 13
Her face went deathly pale.
“That’s not what I meant.”
“Then what did you mean?”
She opened her mouth, but no words came out.
So I answered for her.
“When I was little, I gave you my cherries because you saved me. I gave you Chestnut Snow because you saved me. I gave up the piano, the room, the jewelry. Later, when you wanted Sebastian, I stepped aside. And now that I finally have another relationship, you come to me and say you have nothing.”
I looked at her quietly.
“Victoria, what more do you want?”
After that conversation, my sister was sick for two weeks.
And for two weeks, my mother’s glares followed me around the house.
She said I had broken Victoria’s heart.
My brother, Ethan, back from his junior administrative training with the Royal Council, tried to reason with me.
“It was just a few words. Did you have to upset her so badly that she can’t even shift?”
I asked, “What, exactly, did I do to her?”
Ethan frowned.
“You know she hates it when people bring up all the compensation the family has given her over the years.”
“Was it really compensation?”
“What else would it be?”
To him, the answer was self-evident.
“She nearly died saving you. It’s only right that the family takes extra care of her.”
I nodded.
“It is.”
His expression softened slightly.
Then I continued, “In that case, give her your apartment.”
He stared at me.
“What?”
“Father is giving you that vacation apartment in the eastern suburbs when you transfer to the personnel department, isn’t he? Victoria likes the hot springs there. You should give it to her.”
Ethan’s face darkened.
“Don’t be ridiculous. Father is giving that to me.”
I just looked at him, not saying a word.
After a moment, he grew uncomfortable.
“That’s different.”
I smiled.
“How is it different? Because my things can be taken, but yours can’t?”
His face turned livid. He spun on his heel and left.
At the door, he threw one last comment over his shoulder.
“No wonder Mother says you’ve changed.”
I watched him go and thought:
*Yes.*
*I finally have.*
*And thank God for that.*
