Bled By My Alpha Parents Adopted By The Lycan King Chapter 11
The Wolves Who Bled Me
“I was blinded, my Nova,” Luna Marissa sobbed against my waist. “I was blinded by that girl. She was never sick, do you understand? She lied to us. For years. She pretended so that we would keep bleeding you. When I found out, I cast her out. Kade Vaughn has grown cold to her. She is nothing now. Nothing. Come home with your mother, Nova, come home—”
Alpha Cassius cleared his throat behind her.
“Since you’re alive, you’ll come back with us tonight. I will announce to the pack tomorrow that the true Ashborne heir has been found.”
I laughed.
The sound came out of me before I could stop it.
“No need, Alpha Ashborne. I would hate to endanger your rank at the Lycan King’s council.”
Luna Marissa’s face went white. “Nova. You heard—”
“Which part is the Luna asking about,” I said, and my voice was steady in a way that surprised even me. “The part where you recognized my birthmark eight years ago and gave the order to bleed me anyway. The part where the Alpha said his position at court mattered more than his own blood. Or the part where the young heir told his father he had only one sister, and her name was Vera?”
Every word landed. I watched their faces go paler with each one.
“Luna Ashborne,” I said, and I looked down at her. “You saw my birthmark the day I was brought to the Estate. You walked out of that room and you never came back. Not for eight years.”
Her mouth opened. Nothing came out.
“Young heir.” I turned to Rowan. “Fifteen years ago at Bonfire Night, you let go of my hand. You lost me to the Rogue traffickers. And after I came back, you kicked me until I coughed blood, and you stroked Vera’s hair while I bled on the floor.”
Rowan’s face was the color of ash.
“Alpha.” Last, I turned to him. “You never had a daughter. You had a rank at court and a son to inherit it and a blood bag to keep the illusion running. You told the Luna, in your own words, that if the Lycan King ever learned you had bled your own daughter, this pack would be finished. You never wanted me back. You only wanted me not to be found.”
The three of them stood there.
None of them spoke.
“You told me you were sorry,” I said. “You have told me you were sorry many times, tonight. But every time you had a choice, you chose to hurt me again. So I will not choose you now.”
I turned to leave.
Rowan lunged forward and caught my sleeve.
His eyes were red and wet.
“But we’re your pack. Even if you hate us. Even if you never forgive us. The Ashborne name is yours. You can’t just walk—”
A crack of sound.
Rowan cried out. His arm dropped limp at his side.
“What kind of wolf,” said a cold voice at my shoulder, “lays his hand on my sister?”
