The Stolen Savior: He Loved The Wrong Sister Chapter 02
The message had barely been sent when Aunt Nadine called. “Nora, I’m so glad you’ve come around. I already signed you up. The program starts in a week. Send me your passport, and I’ll book your flight.”
Nora pressed her lips together. So she had one week to find the video Lucian had taken and destroy it completely.
“Thank you, Aunt Nadine,” Nora said softly. “I hope you can keep this a secret for me. Don’t tell anyone.”
“Don’t worry. I won’t say a word.”
After hanging up, Nora began packing.
But she’d barely gotten halfway through when Camille’s voice came from outside the door. “Nora, are you in there? Come out! I bought you your favorite cream cake.”
Nora quickly hid her suitcase. Afraid of raising suspicion, she didn’t let Camille into her room. Instead, she went out to meet her.
Camille was coming up the stairs, holding an absurdly large cream cake.
When she saw Nora emerge, a venomous smile curled at the corner of Camille’s mouth. Then, the next second, she smashed the cake onto herself.
The cake broke apart instantly, covering Camille in filthy cream.
Nora was completely stunned. Before she could even process what had happened, Camille was already crying, eyes brimming with tears. “Nora, please don’t be mad. I didn’t know you were dieting. I didn’t buy you the cream cake to make you gain more weight.”
“I just wanted to get closer to you. Please don’t hate me so much, okay?”
Lucian and his friends happened to walk into the living room at that exact moment. Seeing the scene upstairs, Lucian’s gaze turned cold.
He looked at Nora with eyes like ice. “Nora, why do you always bully Camille? She’s your father’s daughter from his other family. Life in the Hartley house is already hard enough for her.”
“Why else? She’s obviously jealous that Camille is skinny and pretty,” Lucian’s friends sneered.
“She’s fat as a pig, but blames Camille for buying her cake. Like one cake would make any difference at her weight?”
“Right? And dieting? What a joke. Who diets and gets fatter every single day?”
As the mocking laughter washed over her, Camille smirked with satisfaction. She stepped forward deliberately and grabbed Nora’s arm, putting on a pitiful act of begging for forgiveness.
But the moment she grabbed Nora, she pinched her as hard as she could.
Stung by the pain, Nora instinctively tried to shake Camille off. And Camille used that momentum to tumble down the stairs.
“Ah—”
With a scream, Camille collapsed into a pool of blood.
Her face was covered in blood from the fall, yet she still frantically defended Nora. “Nora didn’t mean it. It was all my fault. I got cream on her. Please don’t blame Nora.”
Lucian’s expression turned terrifying. He swept a dark glare over Nora, a look that seemed to want to skin her alive.
“Nora, Camille always told me you bullied her at home, and I never believed it. But today I’ve seen it with my own eyes.” Lucian’s tone dripped with sarcasm. “You’re so gentle with me, yet so cruel to her. I feel like I don’t even know you anymore.”
With that cold dismissal, Lucian scooped up Camille and carried her to the hospital.
Tears instantly welled in Nora’s eyes.
Lucian, you say you feel like you don’t know me anymore. But neither do I.
The tenderness you gave me, the affection—it was all a carefully orchestrated lie.
While she was still reeling, an email came from the registrar’s office saying her graduation eligibility review was on hold and she needed to come to campus to sign off in person. Then a phone call followed, insisting she come that very day.
Nora was about to graduate from college. A problem with her degree at this point was serious. So she pulled herself together and went to school.
But the moment she arrived on campus, she was cornered by a group of thugs from off campus.
They forced her into the campus parking garage and marched her all the way up to the top floor, then made her stand at the stairwell.
The security camera on that floor had been broken for a month. The repair order was sitting in the facilities office, and no one had ever come to fix it.
“Roll down, fat pig!”
Amid the laughter, the lead thug kicked Nora down the stairs.
Then, floor by floor, they kicked her from the top level all the way down to the ground. Even then, they forced her to climb back up and started again.
“Hahaha, I gotta say, the girl might be fat, but she’s got some weight behind her when you kick her.”
“That much meat must feel great to grab. No wonder Lucian would date her.”
“Too bad her face is covered in blood now. Total turn-off. But once she cleans herself up, we should all take turns. Let’s find out what those D-cups feel like.”Â
