The Stolen Savior: He Loved The Wrong Sister Chapter 14
Nora’s body went rigid. She hadn’t expected Lucian to recognize her.
When no one else in the entire class had.
But at this point, Nora wanted nothing more to do with Lucian. So she pretended not to hear him and pulled her earbuds from her bag.
“Nora?” Lucian’s friends sneered. “Lucian, you’ve lost your mind. Nora was round as a ball. This girl is slender. How could she possibly be Nora?”
“Right? What’s wrong with you lately? I heard you went crazy a while back, searching for Nora all over the world. Don’t tell me you actually fell for that fat cow?”
“Get out of here. Don’t be ridiculous. Why would Lucian ever look twice at a pig? I heard Nora hurt Snowball, and Lucian’s been hunting her down to settle the score!”
The group chatted and laughed as if it were idle talk, but every word dripped with contempt for Nora.
“Round as a ball,” “fat cow,” “a pig”—nearly everyone managed to slip in an insult.
But Nora had never done anything to them.
She’d done nothing at all.
Her mere existence was enough to invite this much malice.
“All of you, shut up!” Lucian glared at his friends with terrifying intensity, silencing the room instantly.
The auditorium went dead quiet. Everyone held their breath, too scared to even breathe loudly.
Under the weight of a hundred stares, Lucian walked toward Nora step by step.
“Nora, I know it’s you.” Lucian reached out and removed the earbud from her left ear, his voice rough. “You were the one who saved Snowball all those years ago, weren’t you?”Â
