The Stolen Savior: He Loved The Wrong Sister Chapter 18

Lucian’s heart sank further. Clearly, he’d done neither.

He’d been a terrible boyfriend.

He hadn’t even managed those two basic things.

“Nora, I was wrong before,” Lucian admitted. “As your boyfriend, I fell far short.”

He stepped forward and leaned down, his tall frame completely enveloping her.

“Give me a chance to make it up to you.” As he spoke, he gently placed the earbud back in her ear. “This time, I promise I’ll be a proper boyfriend.”

The faint woody scent of his cologne surrounded her. Nora clenched her fists silently.

The atmosphere grew charged, but she drew her blade and stabbed straight at the center of Lucian’s heart. “One last question, Mr. Hawthorne. Why did you start dating me in the first place?”

Lucian’s body went rigid. The joy of seeing Nora again had briefly made him forget the landmine named Camille buried at the heart of their relationship.

He’d only dated Nora to help Camille torment her.

“I’m done.” Nora looked away, her voice colder than ever. “Now you can get lost.”
