He Married Another So I Accepted My Arranged Husband Chapter 06

Before I boarded my flight, a message from Salvatore appeared on my screen.

*Don’t overthink this. I’m only helping Talia get out of the marriage arrangement her family made for her.*

*We’ll dissolve the marriage tomorrow.*

*The company equity was a last-minute thing. I was pushed into a corner. I just didn’t want her to be humiliated. She promised she’ll sign it back over to you.*

A moment later, a message from Talia arrived.

*Indigo, just let me borrow him for one more night. People from both sides keep dragging us off to the suite to celebrate.*

*I’ll return him to you tomorrow.*

She had attached a photo.

Salvatore’s jacket was draped over the foot of a hotel bed. He stood in front of a floor-to-ceiling window, his tie already loosened.

I looked at the two messages and laughed.

What Salvatore didn’t know was that eighty percent of Northstar’s clients used systems I had personally designed, and all of them came from business networks I maintained myself.

Without my authorization and continued service, he wouldn’t be able to keep a single one.

I didn’t reply.

I took out my old SIM card, snapped it in half, and dropped it into an electronics recycling bin at the airport. Then I switched to a new number.

I boarded the flight to Switzerland.

The next day, Talia was evicted from the apartment by its new owner.

She also received a notice from an adviser demanding she pay fifty thousand dollars for the damaged wedding dress.

In tears, she called Salvatore.

“What’s wrong with Indigo? How did she turn into this person?”

“She sold the apartment, and now she’s making me pay for that dress.”

“Fifty thousand dollars? Where did she even come up with a number like that?”
