He Married Another So I Accepted My Arranged Husband Chapter 15

Once the news spread, another wave of attacks began online.

Desmond’s inbox and comment sections were flooded again.

*So the Bellandi boss likes this kind of woman.*

*Were there really no other women left in the world?*

*She’ll betray you too, sooner or later.*

*If she could do that to a friend, she’ll do it to a Family.*

There were so many vitriolic comments that he eventually had to turn off his private messages and restrict replies.

On the day of the wedding, I thought we were finally in the clear.

But just before the ceremony began, a guard came to ask for instructions. Salvatore was outside the hotel. He had surrendered his weapons, following the rules of neutral ground, and was asking for a final, face-to-face conversation.

Desmond didn’t answer for me. He just waited.

After a moment of silence, I told the guard to let him into the outer hall.

The moment Salvatore saw me, he rushed forward, took off the signet ring that represented his status as the Ferraro heir, and placed it at Desmond’s feet.

Then he dropped to one knee. His body seemed to give out almost immediately, and he sank to the floor, his shoulders shaking.

He looked like he hadn’t slept in days.

His hair was a mess, his face unshaven. His expensive suit was hopelessly wrinkled, and his right hand was wrapped in bandages.

“Indigo, I finally found you.”

“I know I was wrong.”

“When I saw you standing beside another man, in front of all those witnesses, I finally understood how much pain you must have been in.”

“I tried to convince myself to let you go, but I can’t.”

“I can’t watch you become someone else’s wife.”

Tears streamed down his face.

“I’ve already cut off all contact with Talia. I admitted to the Ferraro elders that that fifty percent of Northstar was always yours.”

“I can give up the company. I can give up my place as heir. No one will ever come between us again.”

“And I will never, ever use you to appease an ally again.”
