My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 78

My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 78

They did not hold a grand wedding between two Packs.

There was only a small, private registration ceremony.

Sterling attended as Ironwood’s trade witness.

Her mother, back from Europe, sat in the second row.

Francesca did not return.

Her treatment was not yet finished. She sent a single message.

*I wish you happiness. Not for anyone else, and not for the family. Just for you.*

Chiara read it and didn’t reply.

She put her phone away and walked to the oath stone.

She still wore the old steel ring.

Griffin had never asked her to take it off.

That cheap, simple ring had witnessed her sixteen-year-old heart, her three years of exile, and the choice she had made upon her return.

The registrar asked, “Chiara Moretti, do you willingly enter a partner bond with Griffin DeLuca?”

“Yes.”

“Has any family, Pack, or Alpha coerced you into making this decision?”

Chiara’s gaze swept over the seats below.

Her grandfather was not there.

But that no longer mattered.

“No.”

When it was Griffin’s turn, his answer was just as clear.

They did not complete a mate mark on the spot.

That was not something the Council needed to witness, nor did it need to serve as proof of an alliance.

After the ceremony, Chiara went to St. Michael’s Cemetery.

A fresh bouquet of white lilies rested before her father’s grave.

Griffin stood two steps behind her, giving her space.

Chiara crouched down and wiped a drop of rain from the photograph.

“Dad, I didn’t choose the path you wanted for me.”

The man in the photo still wore that faint, familiar smile.

“But you said my choices belong only to me.”

From the valley below, the bell tolled, marking the changing of the Nightfall guard.

Now, every important document at Moretti Holdings bore Chiara’s signature.

In the Pack House, no one could ever again agree to a marriage on another’s behalf.

Anthony was serving his sentence. The implicated elders had been expelled. Francesca and their mother were living their own lives.

Griffin was no longer her guardian.

He was simply the man she had chosen to stand beside her.

Chiara rose and started down the steps.

Griffin held out his hand.

She didn’t take it right away. First, she looked out at the territory below, the home that was now hers.

Then she smiled and placed her hand in his.

This time, no one was choosing the direction for her.

Every step from this day forward would be her own.

The End
