He Forced Me To Abort Now He Begs Me Back Chapter 09

A week after the protective order took effect, I brought all my evidence to my lawyer’s office to formally sue Natalie for defamation.

Inside the file envelope were notarized screenshots of the online harassment, her false statements on GoFundMe, the threatening texts from Evan and Diane, the call recording, and my psychological evaluation report.

Every page documented what they had done to me.

Before entering the conference room, I stood by the floor-to-ceiling window for a moment. Downtown Denver spread out below as I took slow, deep breaths, waiting until my hands stopped shaking.

My lawyer opened her laptop, and we began to draft the settlement agreement.

I didn’t want financial compensation.

My only core condition was that Natalie had to post a lengthy public clarification, drafted by us, on all her social media accounts and pin it to the top of her profile for one month.

She had to admit that she had qualified for donation but withdrew for personal reasons. She had to admit that Evan knew and helped her conceal it. She had to admit that they publicly announced I would terminate my pregnancy without my consent. And finally, she had to publicly apologize to me for the online harassment she had incited.

After reading the draft, my lawyer looked up. “You’re sure about this?”

“She used public opinion as a weapon against me. Now she can use her own hands to set the record straight.”

She looked at me for a moment, then a slow smile spread across her face.

“This is the most brutal settlement agreement I’ve ever seen.”

I closed the file.

“It’s what she deserves.”
