He Forced Me To Abort Now He Begs Me Back Chapter 08

News of the temporary protective order and the frozen GoFundMe account quickly made its way through the Cole family group chat.

One of my great-aunts demanded outright:

“What exactly did you do to Leah to make a court issue a protective order against Natalie?”

Natalie’s fiancé jumped in, too.

“Evan, you promised this would never affect Natalie. Now the fundraiser’s frozen and she could get sued. This is your idea of a promise?”

Diane immediately told everyone to quiet down, insisting that family matters shouldn’t be aired in public.

Someone shot back without hesitation:

“This stopped being a family matter the second a judge signed that order. It’s a legal matter now.”

The group instantly descended into chaos. Some cursed Natalie for lying. Others demanded to know if Diane had threatened me.

Evan didn’t say a single word.

I read every message, then left the group without a reply.

That afternoon, my lawyer officially filed for divorce. Once Evan realized I’d blocked his number, he switched to contacting me through the court-mandated app, OurFamilyWizard.

His first message was furious. “Why do you have to take it this far?”

I marked it as read.

In the second, his tone softened. He claimed Mason was being bullied at school because of the online drama and begged me to drop the case.

I still didn’t answer.

In the third, he finally feigned remorse.

“Leah, I know I was wrong. Give me one more chance. We can start over.”

Start over?

The moment he decided to sacrifice me and our child, we were over.

I didn’t respond. I just documented every message—from anger to pleading—with dates and times, creating a record of his emotional instability and attempts at out-of-court interference.

I took screenshot after screenshot and saved them in a folder labeled “Divorce Evidence.”
