Westley You Are Late Chapter 21
Westley’s expression changed in a flash, and his first instinct was to look at me.
Only then did Leo seem to notice I was there. His tone was barbed.
“Well, if it isn’t Mrs. Sinclair. Never thought the man you’d marry would be Thatcher. You certainly kept that under wraps.”
I gave him a cool glance.
“You’ve been hiding a few things yourself.”
Then I walked away.
That night, a friend called to gossip.
“Did you hear about Westley and Sofia? She took the baby to the Ferraro estate today and claimed it was Westley’s.”
“I thought for sure Westley would just accept it. Instead, the first thing he did was demand a DNA test.”
My friend clicked their tongue on the other end of the line.
“Good thing you two broke up. They hide behind that whole ‘childhood friends’ thing, but the stuff they pull is genuinely disgusting.”
I made a quiet noise of agreement.
My friend caught it immediately.
“Wait, why don’t you sound surprised?”
“Because I figured it out last year.”
“What?”
The day before my surgery, when I saw them walking out of the OB-GYN clinic together, I knew.
Actually, I should have known even earlier—that night Westley left my bed to go comfort her.
If a man could get up and leave you at a moment like that to run to another woman, there was no way it was platonic.
It was only because I still had a sliver of hope for him back then that I was willing to believe his excuses one last time.
