Westley You Are Late Chapter 20

Westley You Are Late Chapter 20

A soft nip on my lip brought me back with a sharp intake of breath. When I opened my eyes, I met Thatcher’s dark, searching gaze.

“You’re spacing out while I’m kissing you. What are you thinking about?”

I wrapped my arms around his neck.

“You.”

He let out a quiet snort.

“Liar.”

He pulled back slightly, his eyes holding mine. “What do you want to do about today’s… incident?”

I thought for a moment.

“Hasn’t Sofia always wanted to come back to New York? Let her.”

A slow smile spread across Thatcher’s face.

“All right. Whatever you say.”

News of what happened at the party would get back to Sofia soon enough.

When it did, she would definitely come running back.

I was just giving things a little nudge.

But before I saw Sofia, I ran into Westley.

He looked haggard, with dark circles under his eyes.

He froze when he saw me coming out of the specialist’s office.

“What’s wrong? Are you sick?”

“Just a follow-up.”

His brow furrowed.

“A follow-up for what? You’ve always been perfectly healthy.”

“It’s nothing. I had surgery a year ago. I’m fine now.”

I had no desire to elaborate and moved to walk past him.

Suddenly, Leo came rushing over, stopping in front of Westley with an anxious look on his face.

“I know you don’t like Sofia, but she had your baby. You can’t just keep her from coming back to the city.”
