He Accused Me Of Stealing But I Heard The Truth Chapter 11
In the full surveillance footage, I never pushed anyone.
The woman had reached for Maisie’s mask, and I had simply knocked her hand away. Another person had been filming with a phone since we were in the parking lot.
After Derek watched the full video, he set his phone facedown on the table.
Rachel stood across from him.
“I didn’t do this. Erin has made enemies everywhere. Or maybe that painter is back. He wants to use the child to get money from you.”
Derek said nothing.
His voice was dangerously calm.
“This is the second time someone has publicly shown Maisie’s face.”
“All the more reason to control visitation and the media. I’m worried about the child, too.”
“Turn over your system access to the administrative office,” Derek said. “From now on, my personal schedule, hospital information, and visitor records do not go through you.”
Rachel’s eyes reddened.
“You still think it was me?”
Derek didn’t answer.
“If I find out that what Erin said about six years ago is true, I will hand the evidence to the police myself.”
The color drained from Rachel’s face.
She lowered her head and stood in silence for a long moment.
“I’ve managed your office for twelve years and never used my access to harm anyone. If you want to audit my badge logs and email, I’ll cooperate.”
