After Lefting Me On The Bridge He Lost His Mind Chapter 24
The watch hit the carpet with a soft thud.
Truett’s face went completely white.
He lunged for Chloe.
She scrambled backward, knocking over a floor lamp in the lounge.
Hotel staff rushed over and separated them.
As I walked past, Truett suddenly called out to me.
“Mavis, you heard her. She was the one poisoning my mind against you.”
“I also heard that you were the one driving, and you were the one who locked the door.”
He froze.
“No one can be poisoned into leaving someone they truly care about alone in a storm.”
With that, Jenna and I stepped into the next elevator.
The doors slowly closed.
Outside, Chloe was still shrieking at him.
And for the first time, Truett wasn’t protecting her.
They were blaming each other, exposing each other, desperately trying to pin every ugly detail on the other person.
But in the chat logs, every word they had typed was perfectly preserved.
Three days later, the investigation results came out.
Truett was officially fired for gross managerial misconduct, causing serious damage to the company’s reputation, and critical project failure.
Chloe’s internship was terminated.
Her public slander at the bidding conference was cited in the disciplinary notice.
I didn’t have to do anything else.
I had simply delivered their own words to the people who needed to see them.Â
