He Cheated With My Friend My Parents Helped Chapter 30

“Neither of us has the right to ask for her back.”

Gabriel stood on the steps below, looking hollowed out.

Thomas shoved the suitcase at him.

“The court ordered you to stay away from her. Stop trying to destroy the new life she’s built.”

After the front door closed, Gabriel stood there for a long time.

He took the suitcase back to the house we had once shared.

Most of my things were gone, the assets divided according to the agreement. Only his own furniture remained.

There was no dinner on the table, no light on in the bedroom.

He took out his phone, his thumb hovering over my name out of pure instinct. A pop-up reminder about the protective order stopped him.

Meanwhile, Laura was alone in a hotel room.

She called Sienna and asked if she wanted to get dinner.

Sienna’s refusal was curt.

“I’m busy.”

“Sia, you’re all I have left now.”

There was a pause on the other end of the line.

“That was your choice. You told Thomas the truth, and you let Margot record you. Now Gabe blames me for everything, too.”

Laura was stunned.

“Everything I did, I did for you.”

Sienna let out a cold, bitter laugh.

“No, you did it for you. So you could feel better. You tried to take what you thought you owed me from Margot, then lied to yourself that you’d made things right.”

“If you really loved me, why didn’t you keep me with you when I was a child?”

Laura had no answer.

“Don’t call me again.”

After the call ended, Laura tried to dial again.

She had been blocked.

She had tried to hold on to one daughter and, in doing so, had lost the other with her own two hands. In the end, even the one she chose didn’t want her.
