She Stole My Fiancé So I Married The Prince Chapter 11
Only then did I understand that happiness doesn’t always have to be fought for.
Sometimes it’s already standing right beside you, waiting for you to turn around.
Two years later, war broke out again in the North.
King Cedric restored Prince Rowan’s military authority and ordered him to assist the Northreach command in defending the border.
It was then that an assistant from Westvale came to Grandma Maeve’s house.
He stood outside, his tone urgent.
“Miss Parker, Alpha Gerald is gravely ill. He keeps saying he wants to see you one more time.”
“Isabella’s engagement to Adrian has already been broken off. Adrian is making a huge scene in the capital, too. He insists on coming to find you.”
“Please, just go back once.”
On the far side of the yard, Prince Rowan had been splitting wood.
At the mention of Adrian’s name, one of his ears twitched, and the sound of the axe landing grew noticeably lighter.
I fought back a smile, deliberately turned toward the direction of the capital, and stayed silent for a long time.
Then, behind me, came the dull thud of an axe dropping into the snow.
Only then did I shake my head at the assistant.
“Go back and tell them I’m already married to Prince Rowan.”
“From now on, wherever my husband is, that’s where I’ll be.”
