She Stole My Fiancé So I Married The Prince Chapter 24

The capital streets were bright with lights, and people hurried past beyond the car windows.

After we had been driving for a while, Prince Rowan spoke, his voice unusually careful.

“The truth is, I met you long before this.”

I turned to look at him.

He smiled.

“That day, at the Royal Equestrian Center, you helped my mother bring a spooked horse under control. Everyone else backed away. You were the only one who walked up and stood quietly in front of it.”

“I remember thinking then that if I ever lived with that girl, life could never possibly be boring.”

“Unfortunately, by the time I saw you again, you already had a fiancé.”

He tightened his hand around mine and said nothing more.

I knew what he meant.

Luckily, in this life, I hadn’t kept begging for my parents’ love.

And I hadn’t waited for Adrian to turn back.

That was why I had been able to leave the Alpha residence that trapped me, return to the North that truly belonged to me, and meet Prince Rowan once again.

Outside the car window, the lights of the Royal Castle drew closer and closer.

Emma slept soundly between us.

Prince Rowan’s hand was warm and steady.

Resting my head against his shoulder, I finally understood that home is never defined by blood, a surname, or Pack registration.

Home is where, no matter how far you go, someone is always waiting for you to come back.
