My Fiancé Chose Her So I Chose Myself Chapter 21
He said, “Before Mr. Vale released his public statement, did he ever make any supplemental disclosure to Northstar regarding Jenna Collins’s unsupervised company access and the related conflicts of interest?”
“No.”
“During negotiations, was he aware that Northstar and the Lakecrest council were reviewing those items?”
I opened the meeting minutes.
“Yes. It was clearly stated in the valuation memo and the territory licensing remediation notice.”
The audit lead was silent for several seconds.

That afternoon, Travis emailed me from his TerraGrid work account.
*Natalie, I can explain those expenses. Jenna took advantage of my trust and the protection rules, but I already corrected it.*
I didn’t answer.
I forwarded the email to the review team and Northstar legal.
Half an hour later, his access to the company account was suspended.
That night, the new board issued notice of a special meeting.
Travis would be formally questioned.
This time, no one would be able to twist the issue into being about my feelings for him.
