I Married His Enemy The Day He Married His Mistress Chapter 05

The Bride Walks Out

Adrian shot to his feet, face turning to stone. He grabbed his jacket off the chair and stormed out.

“Sienna. How dare you take my son to the West!” His voice was low, shaking with fury.

He floored the car toward the West Side.

The Vale Family controlled the West Side. For years, the Vales and the Lockes held an uneasy truce, East and West, each minding their own territory.

But ever since Lucian Vale took over as Don, he’d been pushing. Testing. Probing at the Locke borders like a man waiting for the right moment to swallow them whole.

Sienna hated Lucian Vale. She’d said so a hundred times. There was no way she’d go to him willingly.

Adrian ran every red light on the boulevard, the city blurring past his windows, until he reached the West Side border.

Lucian’s men were already waiting. They said nothing. Just gestured for him to follow.

Adrian clenched his fists and walked. Every step felt like a trap closing around him.

He knew it. The second he stepped onto Vale territory, Sienna and Leo became pieces on someone else’s board.

It didn’t take long before he saw it.

A line of luxury cars. A red carpet stretching from the street all the way to a villa entrance.

And Sienna, holding Leo, standing at the end of that carpet. Looking straight at him. Cold.

“Sienna!” He broke into a run. “What the hell are you doing? Come home with me! Whatever this is, we’ll talk about it at home! This isn’t where you belong! Take Leo and come home!”

Vale’s men stepped into his path.

“Mr. Shaw. Our Don has permitted you to speak with our lady. He did not permit you to approach her.”

Adrian’s chest heaved. His eyes locked on Sienna.

“Your lady?” He snarled. “Are you fucking kidding me? Sienna is my wife! Our kid is two years old! And you’re standing here calling her your lady? Tell Vale to get the fuck out here. I want to see him. Now!”

The guard’s voice was flat. “Mr. Shaw. This is Vale territory. Not yours.”

“Get out of my way!” Adrian swung his fist into the guard’s jaw.

The man stumbled back, blood at the corner of his mouth. The rest swarmed in, surrounding Adrian.

He pulled his gun. “Move again and I’ll drop every last one of you!”

Every guard drew on him. The air went tight.

Then, slow clapping. Getting closer.

“Well, since Don Shaw decided to grace us with his presence, he must be here as a guest.” Lucian Vale strolled into view, hands in his pockets, a lazy smile on his face. “It’s my wedding day, after all. Surely you brought a gift for me and my wife, right?”

Lucian walked closer, that half-smile never leaving his face.

Adrian’s eyes burned. “You’re marrying my wife, and you want a gift? You must be out of your goddamn mind!”

Lucian’s smile faded into something colder. “Your wife? Let me remind you, Shaw. Your wife is back at the East Side waiting for you. Vivienne Sinclair, right?” His eyes glinted. “You took in a stray from enemy territory and you’re surprised she bit you? You really don’t value your own life, do you.”

Adrian’s chest tightened. Something flickered behind his eyes, but he shoved it down.

His gun swung toward Lucian. “Bullshit. Sienna loves me. There’s no way she came here willingly! What did you do to her?”

Lucian’s gaze darkened, but his smile only deepened. “Why don’t you ask her yourself, Shaw?”
