My Husband The Judge Sentenced Me To Prison Chapter 09

“You’re the one who drove her away,” Valerie sneered. “You were ashamed of her record, you thought she wasn’t good enough for you. Now that she’s gone, you’re putting on this pathetic show?”

Marcus’s face was pale. He raised his hand to hit her.

Leo jumped between them. “Dad, stop!”

The scene devolved into chaos.

“I’m telling you,” Marcus said, pointing to the door, “I will never marry you. And Leo will never accept you as his mother. Get your things and get out!”

Valerie straightened her messy hair, her eyes filled with venom. “You’ll regret this, Marcus. Let’s see how you explain that hole in your offshore account without me.”

She stormed out, slamming the door behind her.

Only the father and son were left in the living room.

Leo collapsed onto the floor, sobbing. “Dad, I miss Mom… I want her back to cook for us, to help me with my papers…”

Marcus looked at his son, the one Sarah had once been so proud of, now just a pathetic, overgrown child.

“Me too,” Marcus said, closing his eyes as a tear rolled down his cheek. “But I’m afraid we’ll never see her again.”
