Drain My Mafia Husband Dry With His Seven Mistresses Chapter 03

Know Your Worth

I bought a private jet and was planning a trip around the world.

I was in the middle of packing when Mia stormed into my room, grabbed my suitcase, and hurled it off the balcony into the pool below. “I already told you this room is mine! Move to the servants’ quarters. And while you’re at it, clean this place up and make me a hand-ground coffee as an apology.”

I stared at her. “That suitcase had two Birkins and a Patek Philippe in it. How are you planning to pay me back?”

Mia’s face went pale, but she held her chin up. “I’m the future lady of this house. Everything here belongs to me. You’re a discarded ex-wife. What right do you have to demand anything?”

Number Five appeared in the doorway, casually waving her bar license between two fingers. “Number Nine, sweetie. You’re not Donna Greyson yet. Would you rather settle this with cash, or would you prefer a courtroom appearance before your big wedding day?”

Mia’s face went from white to red like a mood ring.

She ripped the necklace off her neck and threw it at my feet. “This is from a Paris auction house. Custom designed by a world-class jeweler. That should cover it.”

I shook my head.

That necklace was a hand-me-down Number Six had gotten bored of and flipped at a discount. Only Mia would think it was priceless.

She pulled out a bank card. “There’s two million on this. That plus the necklace. Enough?”

I shook my head again.

She gritted her teeth and yanked off her ring.

I didn’t move.

She finally snapped. “You’re scamming me! You know you’re about to be thrown out on the street, so you’re trying to squeeze every last cent out of me. Vincent! Call the police! Have this woman arrested for extortion!”

Vincent and the rest of the staff didn’t move a muscle.

Number Two shoved the certificate of authenticity in Mia’s face. “A Patek Philippe Grande Sonnerie. Retail value, two hundred and ten million. You’ve been hanging around Dominic Greyson this long and you can’t even recognize real money? Honey, I wouldn’t use diamonds that cheap to decorate a toilet seat.”

I couldn’t help but laugh.

All these years, Dominic had been too busy chasing skirts to notice that his properties, his collections, his entire portfolio had been quietly divided up among us.

Number Two ran finance. Number Three ran medical. The rest covered everything else.

The moment we walked out, the Greyson empire would collapse like a house of cards.

The Family’s senior Capos had even reached out to me personally, asking me to decide the Greyson empire’s fate at tonight’s meeting as the Donna.

Mia, completely clueless, couldn’t get another word out.

Realizing she was outmatched, she turned on the maid who’d been fishing my luggage out of the pool. Slapped her across the face in front of everyone. “Who told you to help her? Do you even respect me as the lady of this house?”

Vincent stepped in to intervene and caught a kick to the shin for his trouble.

Mia looked around the room, seething, then slammed the door behind her. On her way out, she swore she’d make us all pay.

I helped the maid to her feet. She was trembling, tears streaming down her face. I pressed the bank card Mia had thrown at me into her hand. “Take this. Consider it hazard pay.”

Then I turned to Vincent and squeezed his arm. “I’m sorry. You shouldn’t have to deal with that.”

Vincent straightened up, almost emotional. “Please, Boss. If it weren’t for you, my daughter would have died in that hospital. I owe you my life. Whatever you need from me, I’m here. Always.”

I smiled.

No one needed to die over this.

But after a scene like that, there would be trouble coming.

And I was sure of it.
