Drain My Mafia Husband Dry With His Seven Mistresses Chapter 04

Blood on the Floor

Sure enough, it didn’t take long for Dominic to come storming in.

“Scarlett, you act all gracious and generous on the surface, but behind closed doors you scheme and manipulate. You gang up on Mia with the rest of them. I’m disgusted.” He stood in the middle of the room, jaw tight, eyes cold. “Take your little crew and go apologize. Now. Or I’m throwing every single one of you out.”

I looked at him. Calm. Steady.

“Do you even know what Mia destroyed today?”

He didn’t answer.

“The ring,” I said. “The one you begged your grandfather for. Three days on your knees before the Old Don would let it go. Our engagement ring, Dominic. She threw it in the pool.”

That ring meant something once. Back when Dominic loved me so much that he couldn’t breathe without me.

He’d given me this estate full of roses and that ring on the same day. Swore his love would burn as hot and red as every bloom in the garden.

Now the roses were dead.

The ring was at the bottom of a swimming pool.

And Dominic had forgotten every promise he ever made.

I sighed. “Forget it. It’s ancient history.”

Dominic froze. Something shifted behind his eyes. He opened his mouth.

But Mia got there first.

The tears came on cue, rolling down her cheeks like she’d practiced in a mirror. “I know I’m nothing special. I know I come from nothing and nobody here likes me. But I love Dom with my whole heart. I’m not like those other women. I’m not some lazy parasite leeching off him. I actually care. He works so hard running this empire all by himself, and none of you ever once made him feel like he had a home. None of you ever thought about what he needed!”

She reached up and cupped Dominic’s face, voice trembling. “Dom, I’m only here because I love you too much to stay away. If Scarlett really can’t stand me being here, then I’ll just have to prove my love the only way I can.”

She bolted toward the window.

It was the first floor. But Dominic lunged after her like she’d jumped off a skyscraper.

He caught her around the waist. Pulled her into his chest. Then he grabbed the crystal vase off the side table and hurled it at me.

It shattered against my temple.

“Look what you did!” he screamed, still holding Mia tight. “You vicious, jealous bitch! I must have been blind to ever marry someone like you. Get out! This is Mia’s home now. There’s no place for you here!”

The year he loved me, he swore we’d grow old together in this house.

Now he was screaming at me to get out. For another woman.

I watched the blood drip from my forehead onto the marble floor.

I nodded.

Yes. It was time to go.

But the question is, Dominic, can you afford the price of losing me?
