The Seat Swap That Got Me Harassed To Death Chapter 10
One influencer went live and started breaking down the footage frame by frame.
“Guys, look closely. This was last March. She went to a hotel with three different guys after leaving a nightclub.”
“That doesn’t exactly match the wholesome image she built of herself, does it? “
“What’s even more interesting is that these dates line up with the days she was posting about her charity work.”
“So when she said she was exhausted from all that charity work, maybe she wasn’t exactly exhausted from charity. “
“With that many men around her, no wonder she ended up with an STD.”
The comments went wild.
“Doing charity work while sleeping around? Her whole image is completely fake!”
“I feel so bad for Claire. She almost got destroyed by this woman. Thank God she had evidence!”
Clips from that night’s livestream spread across the internet too.
Overnight, my account gained eight hundred thousand followers.
The comments were filled with praise.
“Girl, you’re amazing! You stayed so calm. I’d have been crying my eyes out!”
“She got framed and still calmly pulled out the evidence. That’s a real queen!”
I smiled and set my phone down.
On the day of the trial, Emily had dark circles under her eyes, and her messy hair hung around her face.
Ethan followed behind her with his head lowered, his face gray and defeated.
The judge struck the gavel.
His deep voice echoed through the courtroom.
“Defendant Emily Carter, you raised more than eleven million dollars through fraudulent charity projects. You are found guilty of fraud.”
“You also deliberately spread a harmful pathogen on a high-speed train, causing multiple people to become infected. You are found guilty of deliberately spreading an infectious disease.”
“Taking all charges into account, you are sentenced to twelve years in prison, ordered to repay the stolen funds, and fined two hundred thousand dollars.”
Emily’s legs gave out.
She collapsed into the defendant’s chair.
The judge then turned to Ethan.
“Defendant Ethan Cole, you made false statements during a public livestream in an attempt to falsely accuse and frame another person. You are found guilty of false accusation.”
“You also participated in the fraud and false testimony as an accomplice. Given the severity of the offenses, you are sentenced to five years in prison.”
Ethan’s head snapped up.
His face went completely white.
I sat quietly in the front row of the gallery.
They had gotten exactly what they deserved.
As the officers escorted Ethan toward the exit, he desperately twisted around.
“Claire, I really know I was wrong. Please, just give me one more chance…”
I met his eyes.
“You should’ve thought about that before you lied and helped frame me.”
He froze.
Before he could say another word, the officers pulled him away.
When Emily was escorted past the gallery, her eyes locked onto mine.
“Claire, you won this round. But when I get out…”
I cut her off, my voice calm and clear.
“Twelve years. By the time you get out, I won’t even remember who you are.”
Her expression cracked.
She let out a desperate scream.
I turned and walked away.
A crowd of reporters rushed in through the doors.
Microphones and cameras were suddenly shoved in front of me.
“Ms. Claire, you gained a million followers overnight. Are you thinking about becoming a full-time streamer?”
I smiled at the cameras.
“Thank you all for your support. From now on, I’ll use my platform to share things that are real and actually worth talking about.”
On the way home, the setting sun painted the whole street gold.
I walked through the scattered light beneath my feet.
All the schemes. All the betrayal.
It was finally over.
From now on, every step I took would be on my own terms.
As for the massive following and my new life as a million-follower creator?
After everything I’d been through, I’d earned every bit of it.
The end.
