My Fiancé Postponed Our Wedding So I Married The Don He Feared Chapter 09
“So you lied?”
Damian’s rage shattered whatever was left of his restraint.
“You made up some bullshit about it being a bad day to register, and treated my marriage like a joke?”
“You destroyed my trust with Olivia, and you destroyed her feelings for me!”
He raised his hand and slapped Bianca across the face.
The crack rang sharp and brutal in the silent living room.
Bianca clutched her cheek, staring at him in shock, tears spilling instantly.
“Damian, you hit me?”
She couldn’t believe it.
“Hit you?”
Damian pointed his finger at her nose, roaring. “I could kill you!”
“You think you were helping me? You were destroying me!”
“You destroyed the only happiness I had in this life!”
“Do you know who Olivia married? She married Gabriel DeLuca! Gabriel DeLuca!”
When he said Gabriel’s name, his voice was filled with the most desperate regret and crushing loss.
He finally understood. He’d buried Olivia with his own hands.
And buried his own future along with her.
All because of Bianca’s clumsy, vicious lie.
“Get out.”
Damian pointed at the door, the words grinding through his teeth.
“Get out of the Moretti house.”
“From this day forward, you are not my sister. There’s no room in this family for someone with a heart as rotten as yours.”
“Damian! You can’t do this to me! I’m your sister!”
Bianca fell to her knees and clung to his legs, begging.
“Sister?”
Damian kicked her off without mercy.
“I never had a sister like you.”
“Remember this. Starting today, we’re done. Every tie between us is severed. Don’t ever set foot in the Moretti house again.”
The Morettis were furious with Bianca as well.
They knew that Damian’s current state and the family’s shattered reputation were both inseparable from Bianca’s manipulations.
Mr. Moretti’s voice was iron. “Throw her out. She is never to return.”
Bianca screamed and wailed as the servants dragged her away.
Her cries faded into the night, growing distant until they disappeared entirely.
Damian collapsed to the floor, burying his face in his hands.
He had finally seen Bianca for what she truly was, and the full weight of his own stupidity crushed him.
But it was all too late.
He had lost Olivia. He had lost everything he once had. All that remained was wreckage and endless regret.
After the dust settled, Gabriel planned a special destination wedding for me.
The Amalfi Coast, Italy.
No lavish hotel. Just a white villa facing the sea.
No elaborate ceremony. Just our closest family and friends as witnesses.
The sun was bright, the sea breeze gentle, flowers and laughter adorning that perfect day.
I wore a simple white gown, its long train swaying softly in the ocean wind.
Gabriel wore a custom-tailored ivory suit, handsome and commanding, eyes only for me.
Surrounded by the blessings of our loved ones, we exchanged vows.
Gabriel gazed at me, every word steady and sure.
“Olivia Hayes, I solemnly promise you: in poverty or wealth, in sickness or health, in good times or bad, I will love you, cherish you, and respect you, until death parts us.”
My eyes brimmed with tears.
I held his hand tight, my voice catching ever so slightly.
“Gabriel DeLuca, I solemnly promise you the same. I will always be your strongest support, your most loyal partner, your most devoted love.”
“Having you in this life is more than enough.”
The reception was held in the villa’s garden.
Candlelight flickered. Stars glittered overhead.
Gabriel had prepared a surprise for me.
A small drone circled through the night sky, its lights spelling out a single line:
“I love you, Olivia.”
I burst into tears and threw myself into Gabriel’s arms.
“Gabriel, thank you. Thank you for all of this.”
Gabriel held me tight.
“Silly girl. This is only the beginning. You deserve the greatest happiness in the world.”
After the wedding, we didn’t rush home. Instead, we eased into our honeymoon.
We wandered the ancient streets of Rome, drifted through the art palaces of Florence, and lost ourselves in the romance of Venice’s canals.
Far from Damian’s noise and obsession, far from Bianca’s shadow and scheming, my heart found a peace and joy it had never known before.
I knew my life had turned to a brand-new page.
And the one writing it with me was my beloved husband, Gabriel DeLuca.
