The Night I Went Into Labor His Stepsister Livestreamed Herself Bedding My Husband Chapter 06

I couldn’t bear to imagine what that kick would have done to Vivienne.

Vivienne’s tears fell freely.

“You silly girl, I’m old. Even if I died it wouldn’t matter. You didn’t have to take that for me.”

“No, Vivienne. This is my fault. If I’d never met Julian, none of this would be happening.”

“You did nothing wrong. You’ve suffered enough, sweet girl.”

Before I could catch my breath, Bianca’s voice cut through again.

“How touching. Stella’s a real devoted daughter. Too bad you can’t protect the old one and the little ones at the same time. I hate crying children. Brats like this need a good lesson!”

She started grinding her heel down onto Ethan’s small foot. He wailed. She clamped a hand over his mouth to muffle him.

“Don’t you dare cry! I’ll give you something to cry about!”

Emma was frozen, too terrified to make a sound, tears streaming silently down her face.

Something broke inside me. I screamed.

“Julian, they really are Sebastian Shaw’s children! She really is his mother! *Let them go!*”

Julian looked at my anguished, wild-eyed face and laughed.

“Stella Sinclair, tell a lie enough times and you’ll believe it yourself. I said—I’ll let them go if you slap yourself until I’m satisfied.”

I stared at Julian, feeling like I’d never really known him at all.

The moment he lifted his foot toward Vivienne again, I slapped myself across the face. Hard.

The crack of it drew applause from the small crowd that had gathered.

Vivienne, frantic, tried to stop me.

“Stella, stop. These animals won’t let us go no matter what you do.”

I hesitated.

Then I saw Bianca lift her foot to stomp on Ethan again, and something snapped. I shoved her aside.

She hit the floor, then immediately started blubbering at Julian.

“Julian, my stomach—Stella’s trying to kill our baby!”

She wasn’t even pretending anymore. But I didn’t care. I gathered my children into me and held on.

“You *wicked* woman!”

Rage flooded Julian’s face—then something else. A cold, ugly smile.

“Stella Sinclair, I’ve changed my mind. A few slaps are far too kind for someone as vicious as you.”

“You have claustrophobia, don’t you? Terrified of horror films? I’ll take you to the morgue. You’ll love it.”

He ignored my struggling and tore me away from my children.

Behind me, Ethan clung to Emma and sobbed like his heart was breaking.

Vivienne fought with every ounce of strength she had left, but she couldn’t get free. All she could do was watch as they dragged me away.

Somewhere in the haze, I could have sworn I heard Sebastian’s voice.

“Stella, I finally made it. God, I missed you.”
