The Night I Went Into Labor His Stepsister Livestreamed Herself Bedding My Husband Chapter 07

Sebastian was counting the minutes. His frown deepened by the second.

Twenty hours and three minutes.

The thought of not seeing his wife for so long made him restless in a way nothing else could.

Beside him, Marcus was drenched in sweat.

“Mr. Shaw, Mrs. Shaw said very specifically that you were not to buy—”

“Shut up.”

When Sebastian was in a mood, no one got a pass.

Only Stella could make him smile.

He was walking so fast Marcus struggled to keep up. He couldn’t wait to see her.

Before he even reached the door of Dr. Quentin’s office, he was already calling out.

“Stella, I finally made it. God, I missed you.”

The director came bustling out, bowing and scraping, everyone in his wake following suit.

“Mr. Shaw, would you like to head to my office first? Then Dr. Quentin can attend to you personally.”

Julian was smiling ingratiatingly.

“Mr. Shaw, hello, I’m Julian—Julian from Ashford Capital. I’ve reached out through your secretary before, but you’re such a busy man.”

Bianca couldn’t tear her eyes away from Sebastian—tall, sharply dressed, obscenely rich.

Sebastian didn’t hear a word they said. His eyes were sweeping the corridor for Stella. She was nowhere in sight. His expression grew colder by the second.

Marcus read that expression instantly and cut in before his boss’s temper could snap.

“Has Mrs. Shaw not arrived yet? Where is she?”

Something wasn’t right. There was more than enough time for the appointment to have concluded—the diagnostic report should already be printed.

“Mrs. Shaw?”

The director blanked for a moment, and then something clicked, and his heart began to hammer.

He grabbed Julian’s arm and whispered urgently in his ear.

“Julian—that woman we sent to the morgue. She really is your wife, right? You two aren’t actually divorced, are you?”

Julian felt a chill of his own, but he nodded firmly.

A woman like Stella—dragging two kids around, no less—who on earth would ever take her in? Let alone Sebastian Shaw, worth hundreds of billions.

And that homeless woman? Even less possible. She looked exactly like someone who scavenged from public trash cans.

Marcus watched the two of them whispering and his face darkened.

“Director. Did you see an older woman and a younger one, with two small children?”

The director completely lost his composure.

He was describing Stella and her group exactly. What were the chances of another party of four matching that description?

Marcus, taking his silence for confusion, added:

“Two children, a boy and a girl. Pretty as porcelain dolls.”

Now Julian and Bianca had gone white as sheets, too.

Julian wiped cold sweat from his forehead. Repeatedly.

Just then, a security guard’s furious voice cut through the hall.

“You little bitch, you’re running from me?”

“I’ll fucking kill you!”

Everyone turned toward the sound.

A tiny girl, her face streaked with tears, was sprinting for her life down the corridor.

The guard behind her raised his heavy baton and brought it down on her back.

She barely had time to cry out before she crumpled to the floor.

Her eyes were so full of tears she couldn’t see who was in front of her.

She reached out toward the shape ahead.

“Help…”
