He Let Me Bleed So I Let Him Go Chapter 21

She was testing him.

She had deliberately painted herself in the worst possible light to see if he, too, would treat the lost child as a stain on her character.

But she still couldn’t read him.

With a single word, Luca could silence an information network that spanned multiple states.

He was the rival Dante had spent years trying, and failing, to suppress.

Why would a man like that patiently wait for her to heal, and leave her professional life completely untouched?

Elena was about to press him further when she saw a group of people walking toward the restaurant.

Leading them was a woman in a floral dress, smiling as she held the arm of a Ferraro family member.

Bianca.

Their eyes met across the patio.

The smile on Bianca’s face froze. She stopped dead in her tracks.

Her gaze flickered to Luca, sitting beside Elena.

Then she strode over to their table, lowering her voice.

“Elena, can we talk? Alone.”

Before Elena could answer, Bianca had already turned and walked toward the parking lot, as if certain she would be followed.

Luca frowned slightly.

Elena gave him a small shake of her head and rose to her feet.

The parking lot was quiet.

Bianca spun around, her voice sharp with accusation. “Why are you with Luca Bellandi? You know what his family is to Dante.”

“Were you cheating on Dante before the marriage was even over?”

Elena said nothing, just looked at her calmly.
