He Moved His Lover In I Moved My Money Out Chapter 11
On the evening of our tenth anniversary, a family friend called me.
“Nora, Graham never canceled the dinner. Rosecliff is decorated even more extravagantly than your wedding. He’s been standing on stage waiting for you for two hours. He says if you don’t come, the night won’t end.”
I was silent for a moment.
“What about Claire?”
“She and Owen are there too, both dressed formally.”
I let out a cold laugh and hung up.
No gown. No jewelry. I put on a black Armani suit and took a cab straight to Rosecliff.
The moment the ballroom doors opened, hundreds of eyes turned to me.
Crystal chandeliers, white roses, and towers of champagne filled the hall. On the giant backdrop behind the stage, there was only Graham’s name, along with a line in gold letters—
Waiting for Nora.
The second he saw me, his eyes lit up. He ran down from the stage.
“Nora, I knew you’d come!”
I avoided the hand he reached for and walked straight onto the stage, taking the microphone from the host.
“Sorry to keep everyone waiting.”
The entire room fell silent.
“There will be no vow renewal tonight. Graham and I have already filed for divorce.”
His face went deathly pale.
I turned to the table where Claire was seated.
“As for why we won’t be celebrating today, you can ask Claire Bell.”
