Reborn Rupture Chapter 11

Reborn Rupture Chapter 11

As we were leaving, I paused and looked back at Mrs. Romano.

“Oh, by the way. There’s a national physics competition next month. ”

“I heard that students who do well get special consideration from top universities.”

I smiled.

“Make sure your son and his girlfriend sign up. You wouldn’t want that power couple of yours to miss out.”

Mrs. Romano’s head snapped up.

“Special consideration from top universities?”

“They do,” I said. “If they really have what it takes, they should definitely give it a shot.”

Then I walked out with my parents.

On Monday, the registration sheet for the physics competition was posted.

Sure enough, Krystal and Matteo’s names were both on the list.

It didn’t take long for people to notice.

One boy burst out laughing.

“Is Krystal out of her mind? Her science grades combined barely make a C. Why would she sign up for this?”

Another student glanced toward Matteo.

“Things are different now. Hang around smart people, and maybe you get smarter by osmosis.”

“Yeah, the power of love.”

“Has she ever even passed a physics test?”

Krystal gritted her teeth, about to snap back, but Matteo grabbed her arm.

He walked over to me, his voice low and furious.

“Virginia, you did this on purpose, didn’t you?”

I feigned confusion.
